Special volume

Special volumes with collected papers such as a Festschrift or on a special topic within the scope of the journal are occasionally published. Phytotaxa subject editors and/or other guest editors should send the proposal to the managing editor for approval and instructions. All papers must follow Phytotaxa's style, standard and peer review procedures. If any papers by the guest editors are to be included in the special issue, then these papers must be handled by editors/colleagues other than the special issue editor(s) involved. Special issues must be 60 or more pages. Funding is required to offset the production cost in full or in part (e.g. via payment of article processing fee for open access or purchase of hard copies). Special issues are published as standalone books and assigned ISBNs.
