Abstract

Begonia renkunii and B. tianyangensis, two new species of B. sect. Coelocentrum from Guangxi, China, are described and illustrated. These species resemble B. rhynchocarpa and B. rhytidophylla respectively, but can be distinguished by several characters. In addition, B. calciphila is reported as a new record for the flora of China, and B. fangchengensis is synonymized under B. shaoqingii.
