Abstract

Aspidistra khamkheuthensis, a new species of Asparagaceae from Laos, is described and illustrated. It resembles A. attenuata but differs from it in leaf blade shape and length, perigone color, stamens position, anther shape, pistil shape and size, as well as stigma shape and color. In addition, A. multiflora is reported as a new record for the flora of Laos.
