Abstract
Polygala tamdaoensis, a new species from northern Vietnam, is described and illustrated here. This species is morphologically closely related to P. tricholopha, but clearly differs in having petals with glabrous inside, stamens united in lower 3/4, ovate seeds with sparsely white hairy, and strophiole with each two small and large wings. Detailed description, illustrations, information on habitat, conservation status, and comparisons with its morphologically resembled species are also provided.
