Baskil Elazığ Endemik ecology new species Eudicots

Abstract

Pseudopodospermum baskilense is described and illustrated as a new species from Baskil District in eastern Anatolia (Elazığ/Türkiye). The new species is morphologically similar to P. inaequiscapum and P. elatum, but it differs from them by the presence of branched hairs, and its leaf, stem and achene characters. A comprehensive description and comparisons of this new species and closely related species, in addition to its ecology, conservation status, pollen and achene morphology, and a distribution map are given.
