Abstract
There are very few reports on the species of Limacella s. lat. (Amanitaceae) from Shanxi Province of northern China. In this study, our morphological examinations and phylogenetic analyses showed that there are at least five species occurring in this Province. Of them, both Limacella delicata and Limacelopsis asiaticus are the most frequently encountered species and limited in subalpine conifers dominated by plants of Picea spp. and Larix sp. in the northern part. Zhuliangomyces illinitus is relatively rare and distributed in the warm conifers (Pinus tabuliformis) which often mixed with Quercus spp. in the southern. Limacella urbana sp. nov. and Zhuliangomyces sp. 1 are the two species from the central area of this province. All the species are described and illustrated in this paper based on local specimens except Zhuliangomyces sp.1.
