Two new species of Myrtaceae from the western Caribbean forests of Panama

Abstract

Two previously unrecognized species of Myrtaceae, Myrcia damaniensis and Eugenia tain, from the Western Caribbean coastal and swamp forests of Panama are named and described. Their conservation status is evaluated based on the categories and criteria of the IUCN.
