Abstract

We present the reinterpretation of the nomenclatural type of Archimedea pyramidalis (Balanophoraceae), resulting in the synonymization of Lophophytum leandrii. It is also designated a lectotype and an epitype. Additionally, the new combination Lophophytum pyramidale is proposed.
