Abstract

Phyllactinia braunii sp. nov., discovered on living leaves of Cordia myxa (Boraginaceae) in a dry deciduous forest of Central India, is described and illustrated. It is compared with P. thirumalachari and its anamorph-typified synonym Ovulariopsis cordiae, a morphologically similar species known from India and Taiwan on Cordia dichotoma.
