Abstract

Fimbristylis Vahl (1805: 285) (Cyperaceae, Abildgaardieae) is a genus that includes about 300 species concentrated in tropical and subtropical regions (Goetghebeur 1998, Ghamkhar et al. 2007), whose taxonomy is still problematic (Reutemann et al. 2009).
