Abstract

A new monomorphic species of Mussaenda from China is illustrated and described. The new species, Mussaenda campanulata, is similar to M. shikokiana, but differing by its smaller drying papery leaves, faint yellow, campanulate-funnelform corolla, and lack of calycophylls. Moreover, the pollen morphology of M. campanulata is also reported.
