Abstract

The genus Peperomia Ruiz & Pavon in Pino et al. (1794: 8) (Piperaceae) includes 1427 species, mainly distributed in tropics and subtropics regions (POWO 2025). This genus is one of the largest genera of angiosperms. There are approximately 400 species distributed in Peru (Pino et al. 2023).
