Abstract

A new phylogenomic analysis representing Dinema, Nidema, and selected Laeliinae and outgroups is presented, based on the complete rDNA cistron. It clarifies unresolved relationships in previous nuclear ribosomal phylogenies and confirms plastid phylogenetic results that support merging Dinema with Nidema. The required new combinations in Dinema are presented for two species and one nothospecies.
