Abstract
Hydnellum cristatum, H. fuligineoviolaceum and Phellodon ellisianus are reported for the first time from Italy with molecular support based on fresh collections. Additionally, the first record of P. castaneoleucus for Croatia is documented based on a recent collection. For each species, comprehensive morphological descriptions, molecular data, and discussions regarding diagnostic characters, ecology, and distribution are provided.
