Abstract
Two apomictic, tetraploid (x=9) species in H. sect. Alpestria are described from Mt. Babia Góra in the Western Carpathians, southern Poland. Both species belong to the H. epimedium agg. which combines the morphological features of H. bifidum s.lat. and H. juranum s. lat. or H. umbrosum s. lat. Hieracium hugoi differs from H. moravicum in having the simple hairs on the peduncles, only one developed cauline leaf, and leaves almost glabrous on the adaxial surface. Hieracium ladislai is distinguished by sharply dentate cauline leaves and only a few glandular hairs and simple hairs on the peduncles. Both new species are illustrated with photographs of the holotypes.
