Abstract
A new species of the genus Bazzania Gray, B. mizoramensis Sk.N.Ali, D.Singh & Sushil K.Singh, sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Mizoram, Northeast India. The species is easily differentiated by its alternate leaves always with entire apex, underleaves hyaline, connate with the leaves at one side only, apex irregularly lobed and absence of trigones.
