Abstract

Based on careful observations of both herbarium specimens (including type material) and living plants in the wild, we demonstrate that Thalictrum sexnervisepalum (Ranunculaceae), described from Sichuan province, China, is conspecific with T. przewalskii, a species very widely distributed in China. We therefore reduce T. sexnervisepalum to the synonymy of T. przewalskii herein. An updated distribution map of T. przewalskii is also provided.
