Abstract
Albizia arunachalensis K.C. Sahni & H.B. Naithani is a lesser-known endemic species from Kameng District in Arunachal Pradesh. However, a few authors have synonymized it with A. julibrissin Durazz. var. julibrissin. In the present article, A. arunachalensis has been compared to A. julibrissin, with resurrection of the taxon. Photographs and illustration of A. arunachalensis, and a key to species of Albizia in the Northeast India are presented here for the first time along with its detailed description.
