Abstract

Several freshwater hyphomycetous taxa were collected during a survey of freshwater fungal diversity in Hunan Province, China. Among these new collections, Craspedodidymum hunanense is introduced as a new species, distinguished from other Craspedodidymum species by its large and distinctive funnel-shaped terminal collarette and supported by ITS, LSU, and TEF1-α phylogenetic analyses. Additionally, Aquadictyospora clematidis is reported as a new geographical record in China, with a detailed morphological description and multigene phylogeny based on ITS, LSU, SSU, and TEF1-α. These findings significantly enrich our comprehension of fungal biodiversity in Hunan Province and offer valuable molecular insights.
