Eugenia neolatifolia, a new name for an Amazonian Myrtaceae

Abstract

Eugenia neolatifolia is proposed as a replacing name for Eugenia aubletiana, an illegitimate name. Additionally, there are presented an extended description of the species, its taxonomic history and a key for distinguishing it from morphologically close species.
