Abstract

Taxonomic investigations on the family Entolomataceae were conducted in Pakistan from 2018 to 2022. Morphological characteristics and molecular phylogenetic analyses using ITS and LSU sequences revealed two new species, Entoloma pakistanicum and Rhodophana margallensis, and a new record, E. albotomentosum. Rhodophana margallensis is the first report of the genus Rhodophana from Pakistan. We present illustrated descriptions of the three species and comparison with morphologically similar or related species. Furthermore, we provide a key to the known species of Entoloma from Pakistan.
