Abstract

As a precursor to its taxonomic revision, a nomenclator for the Neotropical genus Notylia Lind. (Orchidaceae) is presented with a full nomenclatural revision of all its names. Thirty-four lectotypes and eighteen neotypes are designated and nomenclatural comments are made whenever pertinent.
