Monocots Lectotype Neotype Sclerieae taxonomy

Abstract

Scleria subgenus Scleria section Hymenolytrum currently comprises 15 accepted species. Seven lectotypes (Scleria boivinii, S. poeppigii, S. porphyrorhiza, S. reflexa var. surinamensis, S. stipularis, S. tonduzii and S. violacea) and one neotype (S. vaginata) are proposed here to promote the taxonomic stability of this group.
