Abstract

The nomenclature and taxonomy of Kalanchoe bentii (Crassulaceae subfam. Kalanchooideae) are discussed and clarified, and an amplified description is provided for the species, in which two subspecies are recognised, i.e., K. bentii subsp. bentii and K. bentii subsp. somalica. The typification of the name K. bentii and, where necessary, its heterotypic synonyms is corrected.
