A new species of Paspalum (Paspaleae, Panicoideae, Poaceae) from Ario de Rosales, México, with partially homogenized synflorescences

Abstract

Paspalum prodigiosum is reported as a new species from Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, México. The new species is very similar to P. paniculatum, however, there are characters of the spikelets, caryopses, and starch grains that are different between the two species.
