Abstract

A taxonomic review of Psephellus sect. Amblyopogon was carried out. The presence of P. incanescens in Turkey is shown and the problem in its typification is discussed. The recognized taxa, the relevant synonyms, type details, examined specimen lists, full descriptions, morphological comparisons and habitat are provided for all taxa of P. sect. Amblyopogon. The geographical distributions of all species are presented and mapped. In addition, images of the type specimens of all taxa and also photos of the species in their natural habitat are provided. Finally, a taxonomic key to all species of P. sect. Amblyopogon is presented for the first time.
