Abstract

Gastrodia sikkimensis have been described as a new species from Sikkim, India. It is morphologically allied to G. bawanglingensis and G. theana but critical observation revealed considerable differences in floral morphological characters. A detailed taxonomical description along with photoplates, illustration, comparison with the allied species and keys for all Gastrodia species from India is provided to aid in easy identification.
