Abstract

Lonicera tricalysioides (Caprifoliaceae), a species described only on the basis of specimens with immature fruits from Chishui county in northern Guizhou province, China, has been previously reduced to the synonymy of L. ligustrina var. pileata. Upon the observations of both herbarium specimens and living plants in the field, we determine that L. tricalysioides is a distinctive species and thus reinstate its independent specific status herein.
