Abstract

Iris subser. Chrysographes comprises species native to southwestern China, as well as to the eastern Himalayas. In view of the forthcoming revision of this group, nine names applicable to six accepted species are typified, and some nomenclatural and taxonomic remarks are provided. Lectotypes are designated for I. chrysographes, I. clarkei, I. delavayi (including an epitype designation), I. dykesii (a taxonomic synonym of I. chrysographes), I. forrestii, I. phragmitetorum (a taxonomic synonym of I. delavayi), and I. wilsonii (including an epitype designation); neotypes, for the names I. bulleyana and I. himalaica (a taxonomic synonym of I. clarkei).
