Abstract
The morphology, ecology, and phylogenetic relationships of specimens of the Suillus spraguei (synonym S. pictus) complex from China were investigated. One species, S. latteri, is new to science. Descriptions of S. phylopictus and S. kwangtungensis are amended. Two new hosts of the S. spraguei complex, Pinus fenzeliana and P. latteri, are uncovered. A key to all known taxa of the complex in the world is also provided.
