Abstract
Two Paramyrothecium and seven Albifimbria strains belonging to Stachybotryaceae were isolated from soil samples in Guizhou Province, China. The Paramyrothecium strains produced smaller conidia with rounded apices at both ends. Morphological description and comparison based on combined ITS+tub2+CAL gene phylogenetic analysis for Paramyrothecium group and ITS+tub2+CAL+rpb2 combined analysis for the Albifimbria group were used to identify these fungi. The results indicate that Paramyrothecium hydei is new to science, while Albifimbria terrestris and A. verrucaria are new records for China.
