Abstract
A new species of Praxelis (Eupatorieae—Asteraceae) of Cerrado in Brazil, P. macrocarpa, is described and illustrated. It is very similar to P. capillaris but differs in involucral bracts number, involucre size, concrescence of involucral bracts, fruit size, flower size, and apical anther appendages. A description of pollen characters of the new species and a new key to the species of Praxelis in Brazil are included.
