Abstract
Polypodium wallichii R.Br. ex Hooker & Greville (1830: 169) is based on a manuscript name of Robert Brown published by Wallich (1829) in his Numerical List, but that manuscript lacks a description. Hooker & Greville (1830) provided this description of P. wallichii, hence validating the name and thus the author citation should be “R.Br. ex Hook. & Grev.”.
